Frome based tech specialist B2B marketing agency, TBT Marketing, has unveiled a new commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2025. Championing several strategies to make all aspects of its business more energy-efficient, as well as influencing change across its client base. Offering sustainable alternatives to traditional marketing solutions through its new approach to marketing.
Whilst most businesses would celebrate a 20th anniversary, for TBT, who this year reaches that milestone, 2020 marks the launch of their approach and the start of their ambitious journey to be a carbon neutral business. Ensuring sustainability is a driver for innovation and competitive advantage, by baking it into the core of clients marketing strategies and not retrospectively sprinkling on.
This comes after a period of reflection and growing recognition from across TBT’s client base that the linear business model isn’t sustainable. And influenced by the growing demand for Climate Action, like many, frustrated by the lack of leadership and governance, a business decision was made to start tracking and auditing carbon emissions through Planet Mark.
“It is my pleasure to welcome TBT to The Planet Mark. We need the world’s creatives, our professional persuaders, to live and breathe sustainability if we are to achieve our goals regarding climate change, and TBT are doing just this. Their power to positively influence is huge. This is a fantastic objective and one that we are truly excited to help deliver.”
As part of TBT’s new Future Focused approach, the agency is putting climate at the heart of every business decision and marketing solution for their clients. Being Future Focused is about making the smart business decisions that support the positive transition to a net-zero circular economy. It means applying technology to liberate potential and solve business and marketing challenges.
The fresh approach is already gaining traction and success, with the Bristol based Future Network (FEN) recently appointing TBT Marketing (after a competitive pitch) to promote the return of its celebrated Festival of Sustainable Business event at We The Curious (1st October).
Katherine Piper, Director at the Future Economy Network said “We were delighted to be able to offer network members, TBT the opportunity to work with us to promote the Festival of Sustainable Business. Their commitment to carbon-neutrality and sustainability was very apparent in their pitch and we look forward to working with them (from our carbon neutral sustainability hub, Future Leap) to deliver another successful Festival.”
“TBT recognises the importance the business community has in addressing the climate emergency. As part of our transition to be a net zero business, being a member of the Future Economy Network has been both energising and insightful in equal measures. Being appointed by the FEN to promote such a pivotal event is a huge honour for us and a clear indication of our commitment to a sustainable future.”
As part of the Planet Mark certification, TBT marketing has committed to make a year-on-year reduction.
As part of TBT Marketing’s wider sustainability strategy, the company has committed to achieve net zero carbon emissions.
