Astute Electronics provides component engineering support across our franchises, modifying and adapting for company projects and supporting them throughout the design cycle with experienced technical advisers.
Astute Electronics recognises the importance of behaving in a socially responsible manner while maintaining high quality standards. Working with Planet Mark, the company aims to address social and environmental concerns throughout business operations.
Over the next year, Astute Electronics will be working towards measuring and reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others.
The company has also measured its social value contributions. This refers to the net social and environmental benefits generated by its team. Measuring its social value gives a holistic insight into its positive contributions to not only the environment but also to society, demonstrating its commitment to meaningfully contribute to a better planet for all.
By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, it will be able to significantly increase its positive impact and hope to encourage continual improvements within its community.
Through Planet Mark, the company has protected endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth directly supports the Asháninka community in Central Peru.
It has also helped the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.
To recertify next year Astute Electronics must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
