Overview

As Sustainability Strategy Consultant, you will be responsible for working directly with Planet Mark members to help shape and define sustainability and ESG strategy for their organisations. Depending on the client and project, you could be responsible for helping shape strategies to support climate resilience, net zero transformation, climate change mitigation and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with members to deliver bespoke sustainability and ESG strategy
• Analyse strategic sustainability priorities and how they are tracked and executed across the organization
• Engage directly with stakeholders and executives to define their strategic vision, sustainability motivations, and roadmap, with supporting business cases
• Leverage the Planet Mark Strategy and Research teams to understand latest thinking and help inform decision making
• Collaborate across various teams within the member organizations
• Continuously contribute to thought leadership and perform ongoing market research related to innovation, providing insight on industry trends, technology, challenges, and leading practices
• Maximize the value proposition from the engagement by reducing cost and time to market for initiatives
• Any other duties that maybe defined

Key Requirements

• Degree in: Business, Economics, Management, Strategy, Analytics or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in previously in consultancy or professional services environment
• Knowledge and interest in the Sustainability environment
• Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
• Strong quantitative skills
• A logical and lateral thinker, who is intellectually curious
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken)
• A team player, who can work in a truly diverse setting
• Highly motivated individual who is looking to learn and grow with the company

Salary:

Competitive and dependant on experience

Location:

Working from home 4 days per week with 1 team office day per week (currently Wednesdays) in London.

Description:

We are looking for a data analyst to assist our certification team. You will be dealing with complex datasets and high volumes of data, as well as using multiple sources to collate data and produce reports.

The ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, have a high attention to detail and a passion for numbers and sustainability.


Key Responsibilities

– Analyse client carbon and social value data to ensure it has been correctly processed.

– Liaise with customers to request data to fill gaps.

– Generate sustainability reports to present carbon and social value data.

– Maintain and improve existing data analysis tools and reports.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

– Highly numerate and have excellent attention to detail to support our robust certification.

– Have a passion for data, analytics, and sustainability.

– Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint

– Experience of generating reports and proficient in formatting.

– Have excellent time management and organisational skills and can deliver quality work to agreed deadlines, maintaining clear focus under pressure is a must.

– Strong team player as well as a proactive individual contributor.

– Ability to use initiative and work with the minimum of supervision.

Description:

We are looking for a sustainability consultant to assist our growing certification team. You will be dealing with customers from SMEs to large corporates, delivering carbon footprint analyses, carbon footprint verifications, SECR submissions, scope 3 screening and more.

The ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, have a high attention to detail and a passion for numbers and sustainability and excellent customer relationship skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Conducting carbon footprint assessments and reporting using sustainability management software for our wide range of clients as they aim to achieve The Planet Mark
• Conducting verifications of GHG assessments and non-financial reporting
• Project management and delivery of sustainability consulting including scope 3 screening, SECR, sustainability engagement, research and policy
• Business development for consulting work for existing and new clients as required
• Client relationship management as required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Minimum of one year’s experience in corporate sustainability and environmental management, particularly calculating carbon footprints
• Experience in carbon footprint accounting and knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting and standards e.g. GHG Protocol, ISO 14064
• Experience in audit/verifications of corporate carbon footprints using ISO 14064-3
• Experience in preparing and winning proposals and projects for sustainability consulting
• Comfortable calling and meeting with a range of clients and customers to discuss carbon foot printing and sustainability consulting
• Strong mathematical and analytical background
• Excellent project management skills
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and excellent IT skills
• Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
• A team player with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Positive, “can-do” attitude

Preferred Skills & Experience
• Knowledge of SECR, knowledge and proven experience of scope 3 analysis across all categories (PCAF desirable), development and delivery of sustainability strategies for businesses
• Experience working with large, multinational companies, either in house or as consultancy
• Experience in sustainability engagement and communications
• Experience with sustainability software e.g. Salesforce
• Industry qualification (e.g. IEMA)

Salary: £35,000 – £ 45,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits and career progression.

Location:

Working from home 4 days per week with team office days (currently Wednesdays) in London. If you are a complete remote worker, you will need to be able to travel into the London office once per quarter for strategy and team days.
