Description:


We are looking for a senior sustainability consultant with experience working in the built environment, and with a working knowledge of whole life carbon analysis for buildings, to join our growing Real Estate Certification team. You will be responsible for managing and delivering our New Development Certifications along with engaging the supply chain and providing expert advice on product improvements.

The ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, with excellent collaboration and customer relationship skills. You will have at least 3 years’ experience working in sustainability in the built environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Oversee the delivery of new development certification internally and externally (team and project management)

– Liaise with multiple stakeholders in the built environment sector to deliver new development certification

– Deliver workshops and engagement activities to design teams and sub-contractors, using expertise in built environment and sustainability

– Liaise with consultants to support / explain LCA delivery for the New Development Certification

– Deliver or support internal delivery of built environment LCAs for industrial, residential, and other sectors

– Keep up to date with national and global developments in the built environment and note relevance, overlaps and competition with the New development certification

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

– Knowledge and experience of whole life carbon assessments for buildings, with working knowledge of standards EN 15878, WRI GHG Protocol, PAS 2050, PAS 2080, GRESB and others

– Experience working with design-teams and other stakeholders in discussing, encouraging and promoting sustainable and low-carbon design in industrial, residential and other sectors.

– Experience in sustainability in the built environment, including knowledge of UKGBCs net zero carbon framework, RIBA, BREEAM

– Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail

– A team player with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

– Proven management skills, helping to support and train junior team members

– Excellent project management skills

Preferred Skills & Experience:

– Experience engaging or facilitating design teams in identifying more sustainable building designs, and innovations in construction

– Working knowledge of the RICS NZC Construction minimum reporting template. Working knowledge of post occupancy evaluations (POE) in the property or industrial sector

Key Responsibilities 

D365 Sales & Marketing:

– Handle all day-to-day queries from colleagues related to their use of D365 Sales & Marketing inc. Power Apps user interface.

– Establish and maintain a high degree of knowledge of D365 Sales, Marketing and Power Platform including upcoming upgrades.

– Assess and estimate effort associated with customisation requests for D365.

– Carry out D365 user interface customisations using Power Platform.Proactively maintain Dev, Test and Production D365 environments to ensure stability and performance.

– Establish and maintain a D365 DevOps build pipeline for automated control of all Power Apps/D365 releases.

– Develop Test Automation capability for D365 releases.

Description

We are looking for an experienced Carbon Consultant with an exceptional eye for detail, and excellent data analyst skills, to assist our growing certification team. The certification team forms the heart of the Planet Mark, analysing our clients’ Scope 1, 2 and 3 data to allow their accreditation to the prestigious Planet Mark certification scheme.

As well as working with their data you will be dealing directly with our clients that range from start-ups, SMEs to large corporates, delivering carbon footprint analyses, carbon footprint verifications against ISO standards , SECR submissions, social value calculations, Scope 3 screening and more. Hence experience in client management is also essential. This role would ideally suit professionals with experience in client facing carbon and energy consultancy roles with a background in science or engineering.

Key Responsibilities

– Conducting carbon footprint assessments and reporting using sustainability management software – from dealing with the client’s initial data submission, any data deficiencies, analysing their footprint and preparing and delivering their report.

– Conducting verifications of GHG assessments completed by third-party analysts to ensure quality and undertaking non-financial reporting in terms of Social Value analysis.

– Assisting in the preparation of tenders for advisory services.

– Project management and delivery of sustainability consulting that is primarily data and footprint based, including scope 3 screening, SECR, carbon calculators, sustainability engagement, research and policy and Net-Zero Carbon planning.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

– Strong mathematical and analytical background.

– Excellent project management skills with a proven track-record of leading and developing customer relationships.

– Demonstrable work experience within corporate sustainability and environmental management services.

– At least 2 years’ experience in carbon footprint accounting and knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting and standards e.g. GHG Protocol

– Experience in audit/verifications of corporate carbon footprints using a variety of standards, ideally ISO 14064-3.

– Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and excellent IT skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Experience

– Knowledge of SECR, experience in scope 3 screening, development, and delivery of sustainability strategies for businesses.

– Experience in preparing and winning proposals and projects for sustainability consulting.

– Experience working with large, multinational companies, either in house or as consultancy.

Description:

We are looking for a confident, energetic and inspiring Engagement Manager to support the delivery of the ‘Engage’ step of our programme. This step supports our members to embed sustainability at the core of their organisations, unlocking the talent, knowledge and passion among their employees. We achieve this by providing a range of engagement services, including a suite of online workshops, events and bespoke advisory services.

Reporting into our Head of Engagement, our Engagement Managers deliver online and in-person workshops to our members and can tailor the content to the relevant audience. Successful applicants will have experience delivering engaging online workshops and have a passion for sustainability. Ideally with knowledge of business sustainability and experience in learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver our core engagement workshops digitally (via Zoom) and in person at different locations across the country
• Support with the creation of new content for Planet Mark’s growing suite of engagement services
• Remain up to date with current sustainability news and developments so that you can refresh and update content regularly
• Research the relevant company ahead of workshop delivery to gain understanding of business operation and sustainability ambitions.
• Record outputs from engagement activities in our systems
• Support the engagement team’s ambition of ensuring our members feel inspired and empowered to reduce their carbon footprint and increase social value
• Highlighting any additional services our members may require
• Identify areas to improve engagement activities and suggest these to the team
• Facilitation or technical support for external events on behalf of Planet Mark

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Be infectiously enthusiastic, inspiring and passionate about sustainability and driving change
• Experience in delivering workshops, presenting and facilitating
• Experience in engaging people in sustainability actions in a business environment
• Proficient use of online communication platforms (mainly Zoom), Word, Excel and PowerPoint

This is a full-time position. Remote working and a level of travel to be expected to run workshops. Weekly team meetings in central London are encouraged but dependant on location.
Salary competitive and dependant on experience but expected to be in the region of £32,000 to £38,000.
