Apply the TPT Disclosure Framework
PREPARE FOR YOUR CLIMATE TRANSITION WITH PLANET MARK
The Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) Disclosure Framework establishes best practice for developing a roadmap to net zero – known as a ‘transition plan’.
It’s designed to help businesses set ambitious net zero targets and action the decarbonisation strategies they’ll need to achieve them. To develop a credible transition plan, businesses must also consider their climate-related risks and the accountability structures they need to put in place to meet their carbon reduction targets.
The TPT Disclosure Framework was developed by the UK Transition Plan Taskforce, which disbanded in 2024. It’s now governed by the IFRS Foundation, which developed the IFRS S1 and S2 standards.
Keep reading to learn more about the TPT Disclosure Framework, and how Planet Mark can help you align with it.
Who should follow the framework?
The Transition Plan Taskforce Disclosure Framework is recommended to many organisations developing their roadmap to net zero.
This includes listed companies and large financial institutions that the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requires to share their climate-related risks. It also includes organisations that apply IFRS S2 – Climate-related Disclosures.
If you aren’t sure whether you should use the framework to develop your own climate transition plan, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
