Modern Slavery
Policy
Purpose
Planet Mark is committed to driving out acts of modern-day slavery and human trafficking within its business and from within those it works alongside.
Although the company does not necessarily have a supply chain, it still feels best practice is to have this policy in place to outline all it will do to support this movement.
Planet Marks Modern Slavery statement sets out the Company’s actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business. The most current version of this statement can be found on the external website at: www.planetmark.com.
Planet Mark upholds the spirit and intentions of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Planet Mark will ensure transparency within the organisation and with suppliers through steps which include:
- Assessing and reducing the risk in the business of modern slavery practices occurring e.g. checking the authenticity of papers proving a right to work in the UK.
- Having robust onboarding processes for staff, suppliers and partners to ensure information is scrutinised for compliance. Consequence of non-compliance is clear and actioned i.e. commercial relationships will not be entered into (or terminated if existing).
- Providing information and training to staff on the warning signs that might indicate that modern slavery is taking place.
- Promoting to staff the importance of raising immediately any concerns they may have.
- Protecting staff who are ‘whistle blowers’ in respect of concerns they have about modern slavery.
Senior Leadership Commitment
This Policy is supported by the Chief Executive Officer and the organisations management team. The policy has been communicated to all Planet Mark staff and will be reviewed annually to ensure continuing control.
