Planet Mark
“It has been an uncertain year, so for Versapak to have made the progress it has is really encouraging. There is an innovative mindset at the company and a commitment to make positive change, and I’m pleased to see how the team has been able to deliver on a growth of demand in an environmentally friendly manner. As we continue in the decade of climate action, companies must embrace sustainability in all parts of their business. I’m pleased to say Versapak has committed to sustainability wholeheartedly. I look forward to continuing our partnership, and progress, together.”

Certification story

Jeremy Graham, Group Head of Marketing at Versapak, commented: “Versapak are delighted to receive the Planet Mark certification for the second year running. Our second year strategy led us to producing products made from plastic waste and embarking on a scheme of taking back old, used carriers to be refurbished. Through innovative techniques, we revolutionised our product materials and manufacturing to use less energy, resource and reduce wastage. During a year of uncertainty and turbulence, Versapak experienced a significant increase in demand from sectors that employ key workers.  Our infrastructure was highly adaptive, we quickly supplied medical carriers for the COVID-19 specimen analysis and produced food delivery carriers for the nations’ supermarkets, during lockdown. However, while the business accelerated, we remained ever-focused to our environmental responsibility and that led to us reducing our impact on the planet.”

Versapak is committed to managing the impact it has on the environment and so it designed the Versapak Sustainability strategy to identify, monitor and improve its sustainability. The company continually look for ways on how it does business with its customers, how it can implement initiatives with suppliers and how it conducts as a group. The Group’s Vision is to “Consider everything we do in business protects our world and ensures a future for us all!” and in doing so, heal, grow and prosper.
