We engage our employees and wider stakeholders to unlock their talent and knowledge to drive year on year progress in sustainability.
We recognise that transparent communication is essential for transformational change and we quantifiably contribute to 9 SDG’s.
As climate change climbs the global agenda, Petroc has embraced sustainable change on its campuses through Planet Mark certification. Petrioc is promoting initiatives, which lay the foundation for a sustainable future. In this crucial Decade of Action, the company want to ensure that it is a force for good: positively transforming society and the planet by measuring our own impact on the environment.
Through Planet Mark Petroc has protected an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation.
Through its certification to Planet Mark, the college is also helping the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how it can work together towards a better future.
Petroc is continually striving to improve all areas of sustainability at our campuses, including recycling and waste, travel, energy use and procurement, and we actively encourage all staff and students to join us to help protect the environment and preserve resources. Over the next year, Petroc will continue to work towards reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others.
As part of the Planet Mark certification, Petroc has committed to making a year-on-year reduction.
