The Maintenance Supply Co. Ltd (MSC), a family run company situated in a prime location adjacent near London, has achieved certification to Planet Mark.
This is MSC’s second year of business carbon footprint reporting and certification to The Planet Mark. It first calculated the carbon footprint of its MSC East and MSC West operations for the year ending December 2018 and set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually.
MSC’s total carbon footprint in the year ending December 2019 was 236.4 tCO2e, an increase of 20.4% from the year ending 2018. The relative carbon footprint was 5.7 tCO2e per employee, an increase of 12.7% compared to the year ending 2018 and 28.1 tCO2e per million turnover, a decrease of 2.9% compared to the year ending 2018.
As part of the Planet Mark certification, MSC has committed to make a year-on-year reduction.
