We engage our employees and wider stakeholders to unlock their talent and knowledge to drive year on year progress in sustainability.
We recognise that transparent communication is essential for transformational change and we quantifiably contribute to 5 SDGs.
Giant Peach, a specialist digital agency working to deliver genuine value and results through a sustainable and holistic approach, has achieved Planet Mark certification.
Achieving Planet Mark is based on the commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability in its business operations by measuring and reducing its carbon footprint and engaging its stakeholders.
Over the next year, the company will be working towards measuring and reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others. By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, the company will be able to significantly increase its positive impact and hope to encourage continual improvements within its community.
“Giant Peach is showing that whatever your size you can make a real difference and that the creative industries are a powerful force for change in sustainability. It’s great to have such a dynamic, purpose-driven digital agency joining The Planet Mark community and we look forward to supporting the Giant Peach team to make year-on-year progress in sustainability.”
For Giant Peach, Planet Mark certification is just the beginning. The company is determined to get everyone on board and challenge the old perceptions of a successful business. Giant Peach will be fitting LED lights, drastically reducing its landfill and cracking down on the agency’s travel footprint. Giant Peach has also protected an acre of rainforest with the conservation charity Cool Earth.
Creative agencies and organisations are the world’s professional persuaders. In a decade of climate action, creative agencies will also need to learn to walk the walk on sustainability. Consumers want brands that align with their values. A good product is no longer enough to win over a potential customer. Creative agencies must take this sustainable, holistic ethos into their work, and their own operations if they wish to do right by the planet, and make the business thrive.
To recertify next year Giant Peach must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
