Certification story

Fulton Umbrellas, the UK’s largest supplier of umbrellas, has achieved Planet Mark certification. Achieving Planet Mark is based on the commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability in its business operations by measuring and reducing its carbon footprint and engaging its stakeholders. 

This is Fulton Umbrellas’ fourth year of business carbon footprint reporting and certification to Planet Mark. Over the next year, the company will be working towards measuring and reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others.

By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, it will be able to significantly increase its positive impact and hope to encourage continual improvements within its community.

Fulton Umbrellas is committed to minimising its environmental impact and reducing the speed of climate change and resource depletion. The company is powered by 100% green electricity and has committed to continuous measurement of gas, fuel, electricity and water, focusing on the longevity of design and sustainably sourced components and using the minimal amount of packaging, using recycled materials where possible. 

Future targets

Reduce carbon emissions by at least 2.5% each year

To recertify next year Fulton Umbrellas must reduce emissions by 2.5%.

Aim to reduce carbon emissions by 5% each year

A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
