DOC Cleaning Limited, a privately owned, family run company, founded in 1972, that provides a range of cleaning and associated services to a wide range of prestigious and blue chip locations throughout London and the South East, has achieved Planet Mark certification.
This is DOC Cleaning’s second year of business carbon footprint reporting and Planet Mark certification. Since certifying to Planet Mark, the company has set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually.
DOC Cleaning’s total carbon footprint in the year ending March 2020 was 48.9 tCO2e, an increase of 29%. DOC Cleaning’s total carbon per employee in the year prior to March 2020 was 1.1 tCO2e, an increase of 28%.

DOC’s first year is based on the commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability in its business operations by measuring and reducing its carbon footprint and engaging its stakeholders.
DOC is committed to sustaining and protecting the environment and preserving the quality of the world in which we live. To minimise its environmental impact and comply with all legislation, the company has specific policies and procedures in place to achieve accreditation with the Environmental Management System ISO 14001, as well as introducing a range of biodegradable and environmentally friendly products.
The cleaning industry is ready for a sustainable revolution. By taking close care of its supply chain, becoming knowledgeable about the impacts of chemicals in cleaning supplies and their correct disposal, the industry and its clients can quickly become much more resilient to the impacts of climate change in the future.
As part of the Planet Mark certification, DOC Cleaning has committed to making a year-on-year reduction.
