Archwood Ltd, a leading manufacturer and supplier of interiors and home improvements has achieved the Planet Mark certification.
Archwood always champions supporting sustainable material production. It is proud to hold an extensive array of environmental and sustainable accreditations including FSC® certification, recognised and endorsed by major environmental charities, such as WWF and the Woodland Trust.
In this crucial Decade of Action, measuring its carbon footprint is a critical step in reviewing and reducing its impact on the planet and society. The company will continue reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others. By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, the company will be able to significantly increase its positive impact and hopes to encourage continual improvements within its community.
Through Planet Mark, Archwood has protected an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.
It has also donated to the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.
To recertify next year Archwood must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
