We engage our employees and wider stakeholders to unlock their talent and knowledge to drive year on year progress in sustainability.
We recognise that transparent communication is essential for transformational change and we quantifiably contribute to 6 SDGs.
The law firm, Acuity Law has committed to achieving the Planet Mark. Acuity is on a learning journey and is collaborating with external sources to ensure continuous improvement. In this crucial Decade of Action, the company wants to ensure that it is a force for good: positively transforming society and the planet by measuring our own impact on the environment.
Over the next year, Acuity Law will be working towards measuring and reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others. It will also be measuring its social value contributions. This refers to the net social and environmental benefits generated by its team. Measuring the team’s social value gives a holistic insight into its positive contributions to not only the environment but also to society, demonstrating its commitment to meaningfully contribute to a better planet for all.
Through Planet Mark, Acuity Law will be protecting endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.
It will also be helping the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.
To recertify next year Acuity Law must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
